Brooks launched his label in 1964 and the earlier pieces from this time period tend to be dramatic and made from graphic feeling prints and fabrics that allowed his to really create sculptural shapes. The skirt on this dress in particular is quite fabulous in its construction. The flare that you see is created by triangle shaped insets that run around the skirt. These panels
