Malthouse One Lower Colour:N/A each step layered with dustCast iron columns rise from the cracked concrete floor of Malthouse One Lower, the southern building of Mittagong Maltings. Malthouse One was the original structure on the site, built by Stuart Brothers of Sydney and completed in August 1899. A 1969 fire gutted its interior and all internal structures were removed. Natural light now falls through high windows onto bare floor and column bases. Part of the Mittagong Maltings series.
